remembering you

i wanna see your face again

your curly wavy hair

that shy smile of yours

and your weird expression when you’re thinking

i’d like to talk to you more

or just listen to you play

how i would trade anything to hear your voice again

that weird posture of yours

like you’re always hiding

the feeling of not wanting to be noticed

your unshaven face

your delicate fingers

i’d love to hear more of your stories

and the questions you come up with

i know i’m only fooling myself with these

these stupid thoughts and endless wishes

im just trying to remember you

  1. Longing takes many forms. When memories fade, a person’s absence becomes heightened. I understand that need to just remember someone gone. In the end we really only remember the person as we created them in our mind. I loved this poem.
